We hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and New Year.As announced by the Government yesterday all schools will close until the end of January. Learning will move online.
A collection for school books will take place this Saturday 9th January. All the books that your children need will be sent home. Please drive to basketball court and the books will be ready in the school hall. All safety protocols will be followed.
4th class-6th class 12.00pm-1.00pm
3rd class-Junior infants 1.00pm-2.00pm
(younger siblings will be included)
The teachers in Scoil Chaitigheirn will be using the googleclassroom platform to post work for the children each week and will also be able to message parents and request work from the children.
We appreciate how challenging and difficult home schooling will be for the next while but as a staff we want to reassure parents that we are here to support and help you in any way we can.
There will be no pressure on parents to complete all the work. It will be suggested work for each day. Many of you have a number of children at home so it might only be possible to complete certain work each day.
If you would like a phone/video call this will be facilitated by the class teacher.
If you need photocopying the school will arrange for this to be posted to you.
If access to a laptop/tablet is a genuine issue for any family please contact 0863699561 and we will do our best to help.
Any resources, initiatives or competitions will be posted on the school website.
During the course of the closure we will arrange different activities for all the school children on certain days for them to have some fun and be creative at home.
Any school updates will be conveyed to parents on the website or by text.
It is a very unsettling and worrying time for all of us with the rising numbers the last few weeks .We hope all our community stay safe and look out for each other. If Scoil Chaitigheirn can help in any way please email email@example.com or phone 0863699561
